Today in Doha, Qatar, for the Second UN General Assembly on Social Development after the one in Copenhagen in 1995, we meet again after 30 years to discuss social development and develop new strategies to address issues such as the elimination of hunger and poverty.
The elimination of gender discrimination and the involvement of women in development and peace processes are on the agenda at this important global event, in which we are also involved as participants.
